  • Easter at Grafham Water

    Published 25/03/25

Spring has sprung at Grafham Water!

With Grafham Water on your doorstep, we thought you may be interested in hearing about our upcoming Easter Egg Hunt Event.

Hidden around our park are giant Easter Eggs, each one decorated by a group in our local community.

Our local groups currently getting crafty include:

    • St Ives Boys' Brigade and Girls' Association

    • Kimbolton Primary Academy

    • And your very own Thurleigh Primary School!

The challenge is to hunt down all the eggs and complete your trail sheet with the spring word located at each Egg. Once you have found all the Eggs and completed your sheet head back to the Visitor Centre to claim a sweet treat.

The trail is free of charge so put spring in your step and hop along to our Visitor Centre for your trail sheet!

More information can be found on our website:

  • World Book Day

    Published 27/02/25

Children are invited to come to school on Friday 7th March in costume if they wish. Alternatively, they can bring in a copy of a favourite book, or find a special one in the library if they don't have one at home. This is completely optional, so if your child does not want to dress up, please don't worry!

There will also be a menu change for Friday - please see here for the World Book Day menu.

Fish and chips will be served on Thursday 6th instead of Friday.

We are looking forward to seeing all the different costumes and books the children choose as a way  to celebrate and encourage a love of reading!

This is another step towards the school being more eco-friendly and wanting to save on paper waste. On a Friday after-school club and a Monday breakfast club, there will still be the paper sheets, but all other days will be on an iPad. It is a very simple system but if you have any issues with it, please speak to Ms Bown and she will help where she can.
