Wow what a fabulous 6 weeks back into forest school!
We now have two more Rangers who have joined me at forest school! Ranger Russell and Ranger Nutty!! It's been so lovely to have them! Ranger Russell is busy completing her coursework and has settled in very well. Ranger Nutty has been a fabulous success too! Every session they come out Ranger Nutty is in a different hiding spot! Children love to make dens for him, carry him around, decorate him and he has become very useful at reflection time as whilst the children hold him they know it is their turn to speak.
We have seen so many fabulous things happening in the woods! Swings being made, dens being created, water systems with the pipes, digging for different stones and worms, climbing trees to a sensible height, Music being made with drumkits they have made or just by using a stick, blackberry tie dying, tool work and games being invented! The new Oaks have adapted amazingly with small activities to introduce them to the outdoor space!
This half term, we have felt autumn in the air, so I am sure that after this half term winter will be very much on its way. Hats, scarves, gloves, warm coat and water waterproof will be a must. Can't wait to see what we get up to in the next half term.
Best Wishes,
Ranger Sansom, Ranger Russell and Ranger Nutty.
